प्रहृष्टो वा हते रामे जनस्थानम् प्रयास्यसि ।
मयि वा निहते रामम् संयुगाय प्रयास्यसि ॥ ॥३-२७-५॥
Prahṛṣṭo vā hate rāme janasthānam prayāsyasi |
Mayi vā nihate rāmam saṃyugāya prayāsyasi ॥3-27-5॥
Translation
"If Rama is killed, you shall go to Janasthana rejoiced; or, if I am killed, you shall proceed to fight against Rama."

"राम के मारे जाने पर आप प्रसन्न होकर जनस्थान को जाएँगे, अथवा मेरे मारे जाने पर आप राम से युद्ध करने के लिए आगे बढ़ेंगे।"
English Commentary
Trishira concludes his plea with a logical breakdown of outcomes. He offers Khara a win-win scenario regarding his own safety: either the enemy is dead and Khara returns home happy (prahṛṣṭo), or Trishira dies and Khara gets the fight he originally wanted. This shows Trishira's dedication to preserving his leader's life for as long as possible. It effectively sets up the sequence of events: Trishira becomes the penultimate challenge Rama must face before the final confrontation with Khara.
