तत् कर्म रामस्य महारथस्य समेत्य देवाः च महर्षयः च ।
अपूजयन् प्रांजलयः प्रहृष्टाः तदा विमान अग्र गताः समेताः ॥ ॥३-२८-३३॥
tat karma rāmasya mahārathasya sametya devāḥ ca maharṣayaḥ ca |
apūjayan prāṃjalayaḥ prahṛṣṭāḥ tadā vimāna agra gatāḥ sametāḥ ॥3-28-33॥
Translation
Witnessing that feat of the great chariot-warrior Rama, the gods and great sages who had gathered there in their celestial aerial cars, joined their palms in joy and worshipped him.

महारथी श्रीराम के उस (अद्भुत) कर्म को देखकर, विमानों में बैठे हुए देवता और महर्षि, जो वहाँ एकत्र हुए थे, प्रसन्न होकर हाथ जोड़कर (प्रांजलयः) उनकी पूजा (स्तुति) करने लगे।
English Commentary
The celestial audience reacts to Rama's display of skill. The gods and sages (devah ca maharshayah), watching from their vimanas (aerial cars), are struck with awe and joy (prahrishtah). They recognize the feat—specifically the rapid-fire destruction of Khara's chariot with thirteen arrows—as something superhuman. They offer salutations with folded hands (pranjalayah). This divine validation serves to elevate Rama's actions from mere violence to a holy ritual of restoring order. It acts as a chorus, confirming that Rama is winning not just a physical fight, but a moral victory for the universe.

श्रीराम के पराक्रम की गूँज केवल पृथ्वी तक सीमित नहीं रही। आकाश में स्थित 'विमान अग्र गताः' (विमानों में बैठे) देवता और ऋषियों ने जब 13 बाणों के इस चमत्कारिक प्रयोग को देखा, तो वे 'प्रहृष्टाः' (अत्यंत प्रसन्न) हो गए। उन्होंने 'प्रांजलयः' (हाथ जोड़कर) श्रीराम का अभिनंदन किया। खर, जो ऋषियों का शत्रु था, उसकी ऐसी दुर्गति देखकर सज्जन शक्ति का प्रसन्न होना स्वाभाविक है। 'महारथस्य' शब्द यहाँ श्रीराम के लिए प्रयोग किया गया है, जो सिद्ध करता है कि बिना रथ के भी (या उस स्थिति में) वे ही असली महारथी हैं।
