Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अद्य भित्वा मया मुक्ताः शराः कांचन भूषणाः ।
विदार्य अतिपतिष्यन्ति वल्मीकम् इव पन्नगाः ॥ ॥३-२९-११॥
adya bhitvā mayā muktāḥ śarāḥ kāñcana bhūṣaṇāḥ |
vidārya atipatiṣyanti valmīkam iva pannagāḥ ॥3-29-11॥
Translation
"Today, the gold-adorned arrows released by me will pierce and tear through you, entering (the earth) just like snakes entering an anthill."
हिंदी अनुवाद
आज मेरे द्वारा छोड़े गए सुवर्ण-भूषित बाण, तुम्हारे शरीर को भेदकर और फाड़कर वैसे ही पार निकल जाएंगे (या धरती में समा जाएंगे), जैसे सांप बांबी (वल्मीक) में घुस जाते हैं।
English Commentary
The imagery is graphic and terrifying. Rama compares his arrows to snakes (pannagah) and Khara's body to an anthill (valmikam). Just as snakes slither effortlessly into an anthill, Rama's arrows will penetrate Khara's body without resistance. The phrase atipatisyanti (will fall beyond/pass through) implies that the force will be so great that the arrows won't just stick in the body but will tear through it completely. It signifies the unstoppable nature of Rama’s attack and the complete lack of defense Khara now possesses.

यह एक भीषण और चित्रात्मक वर्णन है। श्रीराम अपने बाणों की तुलना 'पन्नगाः' (सांपों) से करते हैं। जैसे सांप तेजी से और सरलता से अपनी बांबी ('वल्मीक') में घुस जाता है, वैसे ही श्रीराम के बाण खर के शरीर को भेदते हुए निकल जाएंगे। यहाँ खर के शरीर की तुलना 'वल्मीक' (मिट्टी के ढेर/बांबी) से करना यह दर्शाता है कि श्रीराम के बाणों के सामने उसका शरीर अत्यंत कमजोर और निस्सार है। 'अतिपतिष्यन्ति' का अर्थ है भेदकर पार निकल जाना। यह खर की मृत्यु का स्पष्ट उद्घोष है।
