पर्याप्तो अहम् गदा पाणिर् हन्तुम् प्राणान् रणे तव ।
त्रयाणाम् अपि लोकानाम् पाश हस्त इव अंतकः ॥ ॥३-२९-२२॥
Paryāpto aham gadā pāṇir hantum prāṇān raṇe tava |
Trayāṇām api lokānām pāśa hasta iva antakaḥ ॥3-29-22॥
Translation
Just as Yama (the God of Death) with the noose in his hand is sufficient to destroy the three worlds, I, mace in hand, am sufficient to take your life in battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जैसे हाथ में पाश लिए हुए यमराज तीनों लोकों का संहार करने के लिए पर्याप्त हैं, वैसे ही हाथ में गदा लिए हुए मैं, युद्ध में तुम्हारे प्राण लेने के लिए पर्याप्त (समर्थ) हूँ।
English Commentary
Khara elevates his threat to a cosmic scale. He equates himself to Antaka (The Ender/Yama, the God of Death) wielding the pāśa (noose of death). By stating he is paryāpto (sufficient/capable enough) to kill Rama, he dismisses the need for any army or assistance. The comparison extends to the destruction of the three worlds (trayāṇām api lokānām), emphasizing that killing a human like Rama is a trivial task for one with the power to annihilate worlds. It is a hyperbolic assertion of dominance.

खर अपने अहंकार के चरम पर है। वह अपनी तुलना 'अंतकः' (यमराज) से करता है। जैसे यमराज के हाथ में 'पाश' (फंदा) होता है, वैसे खर के हाथ में 'गदा' है। वह दावा करता है कि वह केवल राम के लिए नहीं, अपितु 'त्रयाणाम् अपि लोकानाम्' (तीनों लोकों) के लिए काफी है। 'पर्याप्तो अहम्' (मैं पर्याप्त हूँ/काफी हूँ) वाक्यांश उसके अति-आत्मविश्वास को रेखांकित करता है। यहाँ 'उपमा अलंकार' का प्रयोग भय उत्पन्न करने के उद्देश्य से किया गया है।
