तौ आरोप्य ततः स्कन्धम् राघवो रजनी चरः ।
विराधो विनदन् घोरम् जगाम अभिमुखो वनम् ॥ ॥३-३-२५॥
Tau āropya tataḥ skandham rāghavau rajanī caraḥ |
virādho vinadan ghoram jagāma abhimukho vanam ॥3-3-25॥
Translation
Having placed the two Raghavas on his shoulders, the night-wanderer Viradha let out a terrifying roar and headed towards the forest.

रघुकुल के उन दोनों वीरों को कंधे पर चढ़ाकर, वह राक्षस विराध भयानक गर्जना करता हुआ वन की ओर चल पड़ा।
English Commentary
Having secured his 'captives,' Viradha roars in triumph (vinadan ghoram), a sound meant to terrorize the surroundings. He begins moving deep into the forest (jagama abhimukho vanam), presumably to his lair to devour them. This verse marks a transition in the narrative location. The image of the demon walking away with the heroes creates suspense and sets the stage for Sita's reaction, as she is left behind witnessing this horrific event.

विराध ने विजय का उद्घोष करने के लिए 'विनदन् घोरम्' (भयानक गर्जना) की। वह उन्हें लेकर गहरे वन ('अभिमुखो वनम्') की ओर चला, जहाँ संभवतः उसका निवास स्थान था। यह क्षण माता सीता के लिए अत्यंत त्रासदायी था, क्योंकि वे अकेली रह गई थीं और उनकी आँखों के सामने उनके पति और देवर का अपहरण हो रहा था। राक्षस की यह गर्जना वन के अन्य प्राणियों के लिए भी भय का संकेत थी। यह श्लोक उस दृश्य की गतिशीलता (movement) को दर्शाता है—युद्ध क्षेत्र से अब स्थान परिवर्तन हो रहा है।
