तम् समुत्क्षिप्य बाहुभ्याम् विनर्दित्वा महाबलः ।
रामम् उद्दिश्य चिक्षेप हतः त्वम् इति च अब्रवीत् ॥ ॥३-३०-१८॥
Tam samutkṣipya bāhubhyām vinarditvā mahābalaḥ |
Rāmam uddiśya cikṣepa hataḥ tvam iti ca abravīt ॥3-30-18॥
Translation
That mighty one lifted it with both arms, roared, and hurled it towards Rama, shouting, "You are dead/slain!"
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस महाबली (खर) ने उस वृक्ष को दोनों भुजाओं से ऊपर उठाया और गरजकर, "तू मारा गया" (हतः त्वम्) ऐसा कहते हुए उसे राम की ओर फेंक दिया।
English Commentary
Khara acts with the conviction of a victor. He lifts the tree, roars (vinarditvā), and throws it while declaring the outcome: "You are dead!" (hataḥ tvam). This preemptive declaration of victory is typical of the demonic arrogance portrayed in the epic. The image of a warrior hurling an entire tree underscores the supernatural scale of the conflict.

यह खर का अंतिम बड़ा हमला है। 'विनर्दित्वा' (गरजकर) वह अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज कराता है और 'हतः त्वम्' (तू मर गया!) कहकर अपनी जीत की घोषणा पहले ही कर देता है। यह मनोवैज्ञानिक दबाव बनाने का तरीका है। एक पूरे वृक्ष को फेंकना उसकी 'महाबलः' उपाधि को सार्थक करता है। युद्ध अब अपने निर्णायक क्षण पर पहुँच गया है।
