Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अहो बत महत् कर्म रामस्य विदित आत्मनः ।
अहो वीर्यम् अहो दार्ढ्यम् विष्णोः इव हि दृश्यते ॥ ॥३-३०-३२॥
Aho bata mahat karma rāmasya vidita ātmanaḥ । Aho vīryam aho dārḍhyam viṣṇoḥ iva hi dṛśyate ॥ ॥3-30-32॥
Translation
"Oh! How great is this deed of Rama, who knows his true self! Oh, his valor! Oh, his firmness! Indeed, he appears just like Vishnu!"
हिंदी अनुवाद
"अहो! अपनी आत्मा (स्वरूप) को जानने वाले राम का कर्म कितना महान है! अहो! इनका पराक्रम और इनकी दृढ़ता अद्भुत है! यह सब साक्षात विष्णु के समान ही दिखाई देता है।"
English Commentary
The canto concludes with a high eulogy. The phrase Vishnoh iva (like Vishnu) is crucial. While the Valmiki Ramayana often portrays Rama within the limits of an ideal human, moments like this blur the line, suggesting his divinity is transparent to the gods. The attributes praised are Viryam (valor/heroism) and Dardhyam (steadfastness/stability). The gods acknowledge that such a feat—calmly eradicating evil on a massive scale—is a characteristic trait of the Preserver, Vishnu.

यह सर्ग का समापन देवताओं की स्तुति से होता है। 'विदित आत्मनः' का अर्थ है 'आत्मज्ञानी' या जो अपने सामर्थ्य को जानता है। देवता राम की तुलना स्पष्ट रूप से विष्णु से करते हैं ('विष्णोः इव'). यहाँ वाल्मीकि परोक्ष रूप से राम के अवतारत्व का संकेत दे रहे हैं। 'दार्ढ्यम्' (दृढ़ता) राम के उस गुण को दर्शाता है कि वे अकेले होते हुए भी विचलित नहीं हुए। यह श्लोक राम को केवल एक योद्धा नहीं, बल्कि दैवीय शक्ति के पुंज के रूप में स्थापित करता है।
