ततः तु तम् राक्षस संघ मर्दनम् स पूज्यमानम् मुदितैः महात्मभिः ।
पुनः परिष्वज्य मुदा अन्वित आनना बभूव हृष्टा जनक आत्मजा तदा ॥ ॥३-३०-४१॥
tataḥ tu tam rākṣasa saṃgha mardanam sa pūjyamānam muditaiḥ mahātmabhiḥ। punaḥ pariṣvajya mudā anvita ānanā babhūva hṛṣṭā janaka ātmajā tadā ॥ ॥3-30-41॥
Translation
Then, seeing him—the crusher of the Rakshasa hordes, being honored by the joyous great souls—the daughter of Janaka, her face glowing with happiness, embraced him again and became ecstatic.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, राक्षस समूहों का मर्दन करने वाले और प्रसन्न महात्माओं (मुनियों) द्वारा पूजित राम का, प्रसन्न मुख वाली जानकी ने पुनः आलिंगन किया और हर्षविभोर हो गईं।
English Commentary
The repetition of the embrace (Punaḥ pariṣvajya) serves as an emphatic literary device. The first embrace was likely born of relief; this second one seems born of admiration and pride. Seeing her husband not just safe, but celebrated as the Rākṣasa saṃgha mardanam (crusher of demon hordes) by the holy men, Sita glows with pride (mudā anvita ānanā). It underscores the reunion of the couple as the emotional anchor of the narrative before the tragedy of the abduction unfolds. It is a fleeting moment of perfect joy and triumph.

यहाँ सीता द्वारा राम का 'पुनः' (दोबारा) आलिंगन करना अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। प्रथम आलिंगन राहत का था, तो यह द्वितीय आलिंगन गौरव और प्रशंसा का है। राम मुनियों द्वारा पूजे जा रहे हैं, यह देखकर सीता का मस्तक गर्व से ऊँचा हो जाता है। 'मुदा अन्वित आनना' (प्रसन्नता से भरे मुख वाली) सीता का यह चित्र युद्ध की विभीषिका के बाद शांति और प्रेम की वापसी का संकेत है। वाल्मीकि जी ने यहाँ पुनरुक्ति का प्रयोग करके सीता के प्रेम की गहनता और उस क्षण के उल्लास को स्थाई बना दिया है।
