नीचस्य क्षुद्र शीलस्य मिथ्या वृत्तस्य रक्षसः ।
प्राणान् अपहरिष्यामि गरुत्मान् अमृतम् यथा ॥ ॥३-३०-५॥
Nīcasya kṣudra śīlasya mithyā vṛttasya rakṣasaḥ |
Prāṇān apahariṣyāmi garutmān amṛtam yathā ॥3-30-5॥
Translation
I shall take away the life of you—a base, mean-natured demon of false conduct—just as Garuda took away the Nectar (Amrita).
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं तुम जैसे नीच, ओछे स्वभाव वाले और झूठा आचरण करने वाले राक्षस के प्राणों को उसी प्रकार हर लूँगा, जैसे गरुड़ ने (इन्द्रलोक से) अमृत का हरण किया था।
English Commentary
Rama uses a powerful mythological simile here. He compares his taking of Khara's life to Garuda stealing the Amrita (nectar of immortality) from the heavens. This implies an act of supreme power, speed, and inevitability against heavy odds (or defenses). By labelling Khara as kṣudra śīlasya (of mean character) and mithyā vṛttasya (of false/evil conduct), Rama justifies the killing not just as self-defense, but as a moral necessity.

श्रीराम यहाँ अपनी तुलना 'गरुत्मान्' (गरुड़) से और खर के प्राणों की तुलना 'अमृत' से करते हैं। यह पौराणिक संदर्भ है जब गरुड़ ने अपनी माता को दासता से मुक्त कराने के लिए इन्द्रलोक की सुरक्षा भेदकर अमृत कलश चुराया था। यह कार्य असंभव माना जाता था। राम का कहना है कि जैसे गरुड़ ने बलपूर्वक अमृत छीना था, वैसे ही वे खर के प्राण हर लेंगे। 'क्षुद्र शीलस्य' (छोटे स्वभाव वाला) और 'मिथ्या वृत्तस्य' (पापी आचरण वाला) विशेषण खर के अधार्मिक जीवन को रेखांकित करते हैं।
