Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
न एव देवा महत्मनो न अत्र कार्या विचारणा ।
शरा रामेण तु उत्सृष्टा रुक्मपुंखाः पतत्रिणः ॥३-३१-१८॥
Na eva devā mahatmano na atra kāryā vicāraṇā |
Śarā rāmeṇa tu utsṛṣṭā rukmapuṃkhāḥ patatriṇaḥ ॥3-31-18॥
Translation
There is no doubt that they are great-souled beings (or gods); no further thought is needed on this. The arrows released by Rama were gold-feathered and swift like birds (or snakes).

English Commentary
Akampana asserts that skepticism regarding Rama's divinity or greatness is futile ('na atra kāryā vicāraṇā'). He describes the weaponry used: 'Rukmapuṃkhāḥ' refers to arrows fletched with gold, indicating they are celestial or royal weapons, not primitive tools. By stating this, he elevates the threat level. The description suggests a blend of beauty and lethality—arrows that glittered with gold as they flew with the speed of birds or snakes, decimating the demonic forces before they could react.

अकंपन अब राम के अस्त्र-कौशल का वर्णन कर रहा है। वह कहता है कि राम और लक्ष्मण कोई साधारण मनुष्य नहीं हैं, यह बात विचार करने योग्य भी नहीं है—यह एक सिद्ध सत्य है। 'रुक्मपुंखाः' का अर्थ है जिनके पीछे सोने के पंख लगे हों; यह राम के बाणों की राजसी गुणवत्ता और दिव्यता को दिखाता है। अकंपन यहाँ रावण के मन से यह भ्रम मिटाना चाहता है कि राम एक वनवासी मात्र हैं। वह बल देकर कहता है कि राम के बाणों की गति और चमक अलौकिक थी, जिसने पूरी राक्षस सेना को भेद दिया।
