तेन तेन स्म पश्यन्ति रामम् एव अग्रतः स्थितम् ।
इत्थम् विनाशितम् जनस्थानम् तेन तव अनघ ॥३-३१-२०॥
Tena tena sma paśyanti rāmam eva agrataḥ sthitam |
Ittham vināśitam janasthānam tena tava anagha ॥3-31-20॥
Translation
...in that very direction, they saw Rama standing right before them. O sinless one (ironic or formal address), in this way, your Janasthana was destroyed by him alone.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...उसी-उसी दिशा में वे अपने आगे राम को ही खड़ा देखते थे। हे निष्पाप (रावण)! इस प्रकार उस (अकेले राम) ने तुम्हारे जनस्थान का विनाश कर दिया।
English Commentary
This creates a powerful visual of omnipresence. Whether through illusion or sheer speed, Rama appeared everywhere at once to the terrified demons ('Rāmam eva agrataḥ sthitam'). This psychological warfare ensured that the Rakshasas lost their will to fight, as there was no refuge. Akampana concludes the report of the battle here, summarizing that this singular phenomenon—seeing Rama everywhere—led to the total annihilation of Janasthana. The use of 'Anagha' (sinless one) to address Ravana is a standard courtly honorific, though it stands in stark contrast to Ravana's actual nature.

अकंपन यहाँ राम की युद्ध नीति और माया का मनोवैज्ञानिक प्रभाव बताता है। राक्षस जिधर भागते, उन्हें उधर राम ही खड़े दिखाई देते। यह राम की गति (speed) और सर्वव्यापकता का प्रतीक है। इसे 'मोहिनी विद्या' या अत्यंत तीव्र गति का परिणाम माना जा सकता है। अकंपन रावण को 'अनघ' (पापरहित) कह कर संबोधित करता है, जो यहाँ एक औपचारिक शिष्टाचार है, क्योंकि वह एक राजा से बात कर रहा है। निष्कर्ष यह है कि पूरी सेना को लगा कि वे अनेक राम से लड़ रहे हैं, जबकि राम एक ही थे।
