भार्या तस्य उत्तमा लोके सीता नाम सुमध्यमा ।
श्यामा सम विभक्त अंगी स्त्री रत्नम् रत्न भूषिता ॥३-३१-२९॥
bhāryā tasya uttamā loke sītā nāma sumadhyamā |
śyāmā sama vibhakta aṅgī strī ratnam ratna bhūṣitā ॥3-31-29॥
Translation
His wife is the finest in the world, named Sita, of slender waist. She is youthful, with symmetrically proportioned limbs, a jewel among women, and adorned with jewels.

उनकी भार्या संसार में सर्वोत्तम है, जिसका नाम सीता है। वह सुंदरी (पतली कमर वाली) है, यौवन से परिपूर्ण है, उसके अंग सुडौल हैं, और वह रत्नों से विभूषित साक्षात् स्त्री-रत्न है।
English Commentary
Akampana strategically pivots the conversation to Sita, knowing that describing her beauty is the surest way to manipulate Ravana. By calling her the "finest in the world" and detailing her physical attributes—her slender waist and symmetrical limbs—he paints a picture of perfection intended to incite Ravana's lust. The term stri-ratnam (jewel among women) is significant; Ravana, as a collector of rare treasures, would see Sita not just as an enemy's wife, but as a prize to be possessed. This description serves as the bait in Akampana's trap to lure Ravana away from a suicidal war and toward a cunning abduction.

अकंपन यहाँ रावण की सबसे बड़ी दुर्बलता—कामवासना—को जागृत करने का प्रयास कर रहा है। वह सीता के सौंदर्य का वर्णन अत्यंत सजीव रूप से करता है। 'सम विभक्त अंगी' का अर्थ है जिसके शरीर के सभी अंग उचित अनुपात में हों, जो सामुद्रिक शास्त्र के अनुसार उत्तम स्त्री का लक्षण है। अकंपन जानता है कि रावण केवल प्रतिशोध के लिए इतना बड़ा जोखिम शायद न उठाए, इसलिए वह सीता को 'स्त्री रत्न' बताकर रावण के लोभ और मोह को भड़का रहा है, ताकि वह राम से सीधे युद्ध करने के बजाय अपहरण का मार्ग चुन ले।
