ऋषीणाम् अभयम् दत्तम् कृत क्षेमाः च दण्डकाः ।
धर्षितम् च जनस्थानम् रामेण अक्लिष्ट कारिणा ॥ ॥३-३३-१३॥
Ṛṣīṇām abhayam dattam kṛta kṣemāḥ ca daṇḍakāḥ । Dharṣitam ca janasthānam rāmeṇa akliṣṭa kāriṇā ॥ ॥3-33-13॥
Translation
Rama has granted security to the sages and rendered the Dandaka forest safe. That Rama, who performs difficult deeds without weariness, has destroyed Janasthana.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राम ने ऋषियों को अभयदान दिया है और दण्डकारण्य को सुरक्षित कर दिया है। उस अनायास कर्म करने वाले (बिना थके कार्य करने वाले) राम ने जनस्थान को ध्वस्त कर दिया है।
English Commentary
Shurpanakha highlights the effortless prowess of Rama by using the term 'akliṣṭa kāriṇā' (one who acts without strain/weariness). She informs Ravana that the political balance of the Dandaka forest has shifted; what was once a stronghold of Rakshasas is now a sanctuary for Sages due to Rama's intervention. By stating that Janasthana has been violated (dharṣitam), she emphasizes that Ravana's territorial sovereignty has been breached by a single warrior who shows no signs of fatigue.

शूर्पणखा यहाँ रावण को राम के पराक्रम का परिचय दे रही है। वह राम के लिए 'अक्लिष्ट कारिणा' विशेषण का प्रयोग करती है, जिसका अर्थ है वह योद्धा जो महान कार्य भी बिना किसी थकान या परिश्रम के सहजता से कर लेता है। शूर्पणखा यह जताना चाहती है कि चौदह हजार राक्षसों का वध राम के लिए कोई कठिन कार्य नहीं था। उसने यह भी बताया कि जिस दण्डकारण्य पर राक्षसों का आधिपत्य था, वह अब ऋषियों के लिए भयमुक्त (क्षेम) हो गया है, जो रावण की सत्ता के लिए एक बड़ी चुनौती है।
