त्वाम् तु निःसंशयम् सीता दृष्ट्वा तु मृग रूपिणम् ।
गृह्यताम् इति भर्तारम् लक्ष्मणम् च अभिधास्यति ॥३-३६-१९॥
Tvām tu niḥsaṃśayam sītā dṛṣṭvā tu mṛga rūpiṇam । Gṛhyatām iti bhartāram lakṣmaṇam ca abhidhāsyati ॥3-36-19॥
Translation
Upon seeing you in the form of a deer, undoubtedly, Sita will tell her husband and Lakshmana, "Catch it."
हिंदी अनुवाद
तुम्हें मृग रूप में देखकर निःसंदेह सीता अपने पति (राम) और लक्ष्मण से कहेगी—'इसे पकड़ो'।
English Commentary
Ravana is so confident in his plan that he uses the word niḥsaṃśayam (without doubt). He anticipates that the visual spectacle of the deer will compel Sita to ask for it. By predicting that she will ask both her husband and Lakshmana to "Catch it" (Gṛhyatām), Ravana outlines the separation tactic. He calculates that Sita’s desire for the deer will override caution, forcing the brothers to leave her side. This verse highlights Ravana's strategic foresight in manipulating the protective instincts of Rama and Lakshmana through Sita.

रावण को अपनी योजना पर इतना विश्वास है कि वह 'निःसंशयम्' (निश्चित रूप से) शब्द का प्रयोग करता है। वह जानता है कि वनवास के कठिन जीवन में ऐसी अलौकिक वस्तु का आकर्षण मन को विचलित कर सकता है। रावण यहाँ भविष्यवाणी कर रहा है कि सीता उस मृग को जीवित या मृत प्राप्त करने का हठ करेंगी। यह श्लोक दर्शाता है कि रावण ने पूरी घटना का मानसिक चित्रण कर लिया है। वह सीता की इच्छा का उपयोग राम और लक्ष्मण को आश्रम से दूर करने के लिए एक अस्त्र की तरह कर रहा है।
