Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
इति एवम् उक्त्वा स मुनिः तम् आदाय नृपात्मजम् ।
जगाम परम प्रीतो विश्वामित्रः स्वम् आश्रमम् ॥ ॥३-३८-१२॥
Iti evam uktvā sa muniḥ tam ādāya nṛpātmajam । Jagāma parama prīto viśvāmitraḥ svam āśramam ॥ ॥3-38-12॥
Translation
Having spoken thus, the sage Vishvamitra took that prince and went to his own hermitage, extremely pleased.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ऐसा कहकर, वह मुनि विश्वामित्र उस राजपुत्र (राम) को साथ लेकर परम प्रसन्नता के साथ अपने आश्रम की ओर चल दिए।
English Commentary
The narrative shifts from negotiation to action. Vishvamitra leaves Parama pritah (supremely pleased/confident). His joy contrasts with the somber mood of the king, indicating his absolute faith in Rama’s victory. Taking the Nripatmajam (son of the king), he departs for the ashram. Maricha narrates this to show that Rama’s entry into the forest—and into conflict with Rakshasas—was initiated by the highest spiritual authorities with full confidence in the outcome.

विश्वामित्र की प्रतिक्रिया 'परम प्रीतो' (अत्यंत प्रसन्न) ध्यान देने योग्य है। जहाँ पिता (दशरथ) भयभीत थे, वहीं गुरु (विश्वामित्र) प्रसन्न थे क्योंकि वे जानते थे कि अब धर्म की रक्षा सुनिश्चित है। वे 'नृपात्मजम्' (राजा के पुत्र) को ले गए। यह राम के जीवन का वह मोड़ था जहाँ वे राजमहल की सुरक्षा से निकलकर कर्मभूमि (वन) की ओर बढ़े। मारीच यह बताता है कि राम का वन में आना कोई दुर्घटना नहीं, बल्कि ऋषियों का आह्रान और राम का चयन था।
