दिव्य चंदन दिग्ध अंगान् दिव्य आभरण भूषितान् ।
द्रक्ष्यसि अभिहतान् भूमौ तव दोषात् तु राक्षसान् ॥ ॥३-३८-२७॥
Divya candana digdha aṅgān divya ābharaṇa bhūṣitān । Drakṣyasi abhihatān bhūmau tava doṣāt tu rākṣasān ॥ ॥3-38-27॥
Translation
You will see Rakshasas, their limbs anointed with divine sandalwood paste and adorned with divine ornaments, struck down on the ground due to your fault.

तुम अपने दोष के कारण, दिव्य चंदन का लेप लगाए हुए और दिव्य आभूषणों से सजे हुए राक्षसों को जमीन पर (मरे हुए) पड़े देखोगे।
English Commentary
Maricha visualizes the carnage of the impending war. He focuses on the tragic contrast between the Rakshasas' luxurious grooming—limbs with Divya chandana (divine sandal paste) and Abharana (jewelry)—and their gritty fate, lying dead on the ground (Abhihatan bhumau). This emphasizes the waste of life and beauty. The phrase Tava doshat (due to your fault) acts as an accusation: Ravana will be personally responsible for turning his glittering court into a graveyard.

मारीच भविष्य के युद्धक्षेत्र का भयावह दृश्य प्रस्तुत करता है। राक्षस जो विलासी जीवन जीते थे—'चंदन दिग्ध अंगान्' (सुगंधित लेप लगाए हुए) और गहनों से लदे हुए—वे युद्ध की धूल में सने हुए लाशें बनकर पड़े होंगे ('अभिहतान् भूमौ')। 'तव दोषात्' (तुम्हारे दोष से)—मारीच बार-बार जिम्मेदारी रावण पर डाल रहा है। यह दृश्य रावण के हृदय में करुणा और भय जगाने का प्रयास है। वह रावण को बता रहा है कि वह अपने ही लोगों का हत्यारा बनने जा रहा है।
