निवार्यमाणः सुहृदा मया भृशम् प्रसह्य सीताम् यदि धर्षयिष्यसि ।
गमिष्यसि क्षीण बलः स बान्धवो यम क्षयम् राम शर आत्त जीवितः ॥ ॥३-३८-३३॥
Nivāryamāṇaḥ suhṛdā mayā bhṛśam Prasahya sītām yadi dharṣayiṣyasi । Gamiṣyasi kṣīṇa balaḥ sa bāndhavo Yama kṣayam rāma śara ātta jīvitaḥ ॥ ॥3-38-33॥
Translation
If, despite being repeatedly dissuaded by me, a well-wisher, you forcibly violate Sita, your life will be taken by Rama's arrows, and you will go to the abode of Yama with your kinsmen, bereft of strength.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मेरे जैसे हितेषी द्वारा बार-बार रोके जाने पर भी यदि तुम बलपूर्वक सीता का हरण करोगे, तो राम के बाणों से तुम्हारे प्राण हर लिए जाएंगे और तुम शक्तिहीन होकर अपने बांधवों सहित यमलोक सिधारोगे।
English Commentary

Maricha highlights his role as a suhrida (good-hearted friend) whose counsel is being ignored. The phrasing implies that Ravana’s fate is sealed by his own obstinacy. यह इस सर्ग का अंतिम और सबसे कठोर चेतावनी भरा श्लोक है। मारीच अब स्पष्ट भविष्यवाणी कर रहा है। 'निवार्यमाणः' (रोके जाने पर भी) शब्द दर्शाता है कि रावण को सुधरने का अवसर दिया गया था, जिसे उसने ठुकरा दिया। 'यम क्षयम्' (यम का घर) ही अब उसका गंतव्य है। मारीच यह भी जोड़ता है कि रावण अकेला नहीं जाएगा, बल्कि 'स बान्धवो' (भाई-बंधुओं के साथ) जाएगा। यह श्लोक रावण के हठ (obstinacy) के अंतिम परिणाम को सील कर देता है। मित्र की बात न मानने का फल सर्वनाश है।
