रामः च हि महातेजा महासत्त्वो महाबलः ।
अपि राक्षस लोकस्य भवेत् अन्तकरो अपि हि ॥३-३९-२३॥
rāmaḥ ca hi mahātejā mahāsattvo mahābalaḥ |
api rākṣasa lokasya bhavet antakaro api hi ॥3-39-23॥
Translation
For indeed, Rama is of great radiance, great courage, and immense strength. He may well become the terminator (Death/Yama) of the entire world of Rakshasas.

राम महातेजस्वी, महापराक्रमी और महाबली हैं। वे सम्पूर्ण राक्षस लोक का अंत करने वाले (काल) भी हो सकते हैं।
English Commentary
Maricha characterizes Rama with three potent attributes: Mahateja (great radiance/energy), Mahasattva (great courage/inner resolve), and Mahabala (immense physical strength). This highlights that Rama is invincible not just physically, but spiritually and morally. The use of the word Antakara (The End-maker/Terminator, often used for Yama) is significant. Maricha prophesies that this conflict is not merely about abducting a woman; it has the potential to wipe out the entire Rakshasa race. He warns Ravana that antagonizing Rama is not fighting a mere human, but inviting Death personified. It is a forewarning of the total annihilation of Lanka that will follow if Ravana proceeds with his plan.
