तम् आहवे दारुणम् आशु विक्रमौ स्थिरौ उभौ संयति राम लक्ष्मणौ ।
मुदान्वितौ चिक्षिपतुर् भयावहम् नदन्तम् उत्क्षिप्य बिलेन राक्ष्सम् ॥ ॥३-४-२९॥
tam āhave dāruṇam āśu vikramau sthirau ubhau saṃyati rāma lakṣmaṇau । mudānvitau cikṣipatur bhayāva ham nadantam utkṣipya bilena rākṣsam ॥ ॥3-4-29॥
Translation
Rama and Lakshmana, both steadfast and quick in displaying valor in battle, happily lifted that terrifying, roaring Rakshasa and threw him into the pit.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध में शीघ्र पराक्रम दिखाने वाले और स्थिर रहने वाले राम और लक्ष्मण, दोनों ने प्रसन्नचित्त होकर उस भयानक और गरजते हुए राक्षस को उठाकर गड्ढे (बिल) में डाल दिया।
English Commentary
The meter changes here, signaling a summary or climax of the action. The brothers are described as mudānvitau (filled with joy/relief). This joy stems from successfully neutralizing a major threat and fulfilling a divine duty. The attributes āśu vikramau (quick in valor) and sthirau (steadfast) summarize their martial character: swift in action but mentally calm. Throwing the roaring demon into the bila (hole) marks the physical end of the encounter, transitioning the brothers from warriors back to pilgrims.
