मुष्टिभिर् बाहुभिर् पद्भिः सूदयन्तौ तु राक्षसम् ।
उद्यम्योद्यम्य च अपि एनम् स्थण्डिले निष्पिपेषतुः ॥ ॥३-४-७॥
Muṣṭibhir bāhubhir padbhiḥ sūdayantau tu rākṣasam |
udyamyodyamya ca api enam sthaṇḍile niṣpipeṣatuḥ ॥3-4-7॥
Translation
The two brothers pummeled the demon with their fists, arms, and feet. Lifting him up repeatedly, they smashed him down upon the level ground.

उन दोनों भाइयों ने उस राक्षस को मुक्कों, भुजाओं और लातों से मारा। फिर उसे बार-बार ऊपर उठाकर समतल भूमि पर पटका (पीस डाला)।
English Commentary
The combat transitions from weaponry to raw, visceral violence. The brothers resort to mushtibhir (fists) and padbhih (feet), engaging in hand-to-hand combat. The repetition in udyam yodyamya (lifting him up again and again) conveys the intensity and relentlessness of their assault. They smash him against the sthandile (ground), attempting to crush his body since they cannot pierce it. This verse showcases the martial versatility of Rama and Lakshmana—when grace and archery fail, they are capable of brutal physical domination to protect their own.

जब हथियार काम न आए, तो युद्ध 'मल्ल युद्ध' (कुश्ती) में बदल गया। श्रीराम और लक्ष्मण ने अस्त्रों का मोह छोड़कर शारीरिक बल का प्रयोग किया। 'मुष्टिभिर् बाहुभिर् पद्भिः' (मुक्का, हाथ और पैर) से प्रहार करना उनके भीषण क्रोध और संकल्प को दर्शाता है। 'उद्यम्योद्यम्य' (बार-बार उठाकर) शब्द बताता है कि वे उसे केवल गिरा नहीं रहे थे, बल्कि उसे पूरी तरह नष्ट करने का प्रयास कर रहे थे। यह दृश्य दर्शाता है कि रघुकुल के वीर केवल धनुर्विद्या में ही नहीं, बल्कि शारीरिक द्वंद्व में भी अद्वितीय थे।
