हिंदी अनुवाद
अब मेरे कहने से सहायता के रूप में जो कार्य तुम्हें करना है, उसे सुनो। तुम चाँदी के बिंदुओं (चित्तियों) से विचित्र (रंग-बिरंगा), सोने का मृग बन जाओ।
English Commentary
Ravana finally reveals the specifics of his plot. He commands Maricha to listen to the task: Maricha must transform into a Sauvarnah mrigah (golden deer). To make it even more captivating, it must be Chitro rajata bindubhih (variegated with silver spots). Ravana understands human (and divine) psychology; to lure Sita, the object must be spectacularly unique and surreal. This marks the inception of the famous "Golden Deer" episode. Ravana is deploying Maricha's magical abilities to set a trap based on fascination and desire, initiating the sequence of events that leads to the abduction.

यहाँ रावण अपनी कुटिल योजना का खुलासा करता है। वह मारीच को निर्देश देता है कि उसे क्या करना है। मारीच को एक 'सौवर्णः मृग' (स्वर्ण मृग) का रूप धारण करना है। यह कोई साधारण मृग नहीं, बल्कि 'रजत बिन्दुभिः चित्रो' (चाँदी की चित्तियों से विचित्र) होना चाहिए ताकि वह अद्भुत और अलौकिक दिखे। रावण जानता है कि सीता का मन मोहने के लिए कुछ असाधारण वस्तु की आवश्यकता होगी। यह रावण की योजना का पहला चरण है—प्रलोभन (Temptation)। मारीच, जो मायावी है, उसके लिए यह रूप धरना सरल है, लेकिन वह जानता है कि यह रूप उसकी मृत्यु का कारण बनेगा।
