प्रलोभनार्थम् वैदेह्या नाना धातु विचित्रितम् ।
विचरन् गच्छते सम्यक् शाद्वलानि समंततः ॥ ॥३-४२-२१॥
Pralobhanārtham vaidehyā nānā dhātu vicitritam । Vicaran gacchate samyak śādvalāni samantataḥ ॥ ॥3-42-21॥
Translation
Specifically to tempt Vaidehi, that deer, patterned with the colors of various minerals, began to wander thoroughly over the surrounding grassy lawns.

वैदेही (सीता) को प्रलोभित करने के लिए, नाना प्रकार की धातुओं के रंगों से विचित्र बना वह मृग, चारों ओर फैली हुई हरी-हरी घास (शाद्वल) पर विचरण करने लगा।
English Commentary
