लोबितः तेन रूपेण सीताया च प्रचोदितः ।
उवाच राघवो हृष्टो भ्रातरम् लक्ष्मणम् वचः ॥३-४३-२४॥
lobhitaḥ tena rūpeṇa sītāyā ca pracoditaḥ |
uvāca rāghavo hṛṣṭo bhrātaram lakṣmaṇam vacaḥ ॥3-43-24॥
Translation
Lured by that form and urged on by Sita, a delighted Raghava spoke these words to his brother Lakshmana.

उस (मृग के) रूप से मोहित होकर और सीता द्वारा प्रेरित किए जाने पर, प्रसन्नचित्त श्रीराम ने अपने भाई लक्ष्मण से ये वचन कहे।
English Commentary
This verse outlines the dual motivations driving Lord Rama's decision. He is 'lobhitah' (allured/tempted) by the sheer beauty of the deer, and equally 'prachoditah' (urged/instigated) by Sita's request. Rama is described as 'hrishta' (delighted or happy), indicating that he finds joy in the prospect of fulfilling Sita's wish and engaging with such a unique creature. He addresses Lakshmana, who has been skeptical, preparing to counter Lakshmana's doubts with his own admiration for the beast. It shows Rama acting as a loving husband wanting to secure a prize for his wife, momentarily setting aside the strategic caution usually displayed by Lakshmana.
