विमानम् सूर्य संकाशम् तरसा निर्जितम् रणे ।
विशालम् रमणीयम् च तत् विमानम् मनो जवम् ॥ ॥३-५५-३०॥
Vimānam sūrya saṅkāśam tarasā nirjitam raṇe । Viśālam ramaṇīyam ca tat vimānam mano javam ॥ ॥3-55-30॥
Translation
...that aerial chariot resembles the sun, and I won it in battle by my might. It is spacious, beautiful, and moves at the speed of the mind.

...वह विमान सूर्य के समान (चमकदार) है, जिसे मैंने युद्ध में अपने बल (वेग) से जीता है। वह विमान विशाल है, रमणीय (सुंदर) है और मन की गति से चलने वाला (मनोजवम्) है।
English Commentary
Ravana elaborates on the magnificence of the Pushpaka Vimana to allure Sita. He describes it as "Surya sankasham" (resplendent like the sun) and emphasizes its technological marvel—"mano javam" (moving at the speed of thought/mind). He reiterates that he won it "nirjitam rane" (conquered in battle), reinforcing his status as a supreme warrior. The description of the chariot as "vishalam" (spacious) and "ramaniyam" (delightful) is meant to contrast with the cramped and harsh conditions of Sita's current captivity or her forest life. Ravana is offering her the ultimate vehicle of freedom and dominance. However, his boasting about forcefully taking it from Kubera only proves his unrighteous nature to Sita, who values righteousness over stolen luxury.

यह श्लोक पुष्पक विमान की भव्यता का वर्णन करता है। रावण इसकी तुलना 'सूर्य संकाशम्' (सूर्य की चमक) से करता है। वह पुनः दोहराता है कि उसने इसे 'रणे' (युद्ध में) 'तरसा' (बल/वेग से) जीता है, ताकि सीता उसकी वीरता से प्रभावित हों। विमान की विशेषताएं अद्भुत हैं—वह 'विशालम्' (बड़ा) और 'रमणीयम्' (सुंदर) है। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण विशेषता है 'मनो जवम्' (मन की गति से चलने वाला)। रावण सीता को यह सपना दिखा रहा है कि इस विमान में बैठकर वे कहीं भी, कभी भी जा सकते हैं। यह स्वतंत्रता और प्रभुत्व का प्रतीक है। रावण यह जताना चाहता है कि राम के पास तो टूटी चप्पल भी नहीं है, जबकि उसके पास सूर्य जैसा विमान है। वह सीता को एक 'अपग्रेड' (upgrade) का प्रस्ताव दे रहा है, परन्तु सीता के लिए यह सब चोरी का माल और अधर्म की निशानी है।
