तत्र सीते मया सार्धम् विहरस्व यथा सुखम् ।
वदनम् पद्म संकाशम् विमलम् चारु दर्शनम् ॥ ॥३-५५-३१॥
Tatra sīte mayā sārdham viharasva yathā sukham । Vadanam padma saṅkāśam vimalam cāru darśanam ॥ ॥3-55-31॥
Translation
O Sita, roam about comfortably with me in that chariot. Your face is like a lotus, spotless, and beautiful to behold.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सीते! उस (विमान) में तुम मेरे साथ यथासुख (सुखपूर्वक) विहार करो। तुम्हारा मुख कमल के समान (सुंदर) है, विमल (स्वच्छ) है और दर्शन करने में अति सुंदर (चारु) है।
English Commentary
Ravana concludes his pitch by inviting Sita to "viharasva" (roam/sport) with him in the Pushpaka Vimana "yatha sukham" (as per her pleasure). He praises her face as "padma sankasham" (lotus-like) and "charu darshanam" (beautiful to look at). There is a cruel irony here; Sita represents the grief-stricken victim, yet Ravana focuses entirely on her aesthetic appeal. He ignores her internal state of horror and disgust. By asking her to roam with him, he is asking her to forget her past, her husband, and her dharma, to become a companion in his sky-faring adventures. He treats her beauty as a prize that deserves a fitting pedestal (the Vimana), completely missing that her beauty is intrinsic to her chastity, which he is trying to destroy.

रावण अपनी बात का समापन करते हुए कहता है कि सीता उस पुष्पक विमान में उसके साथ 'विहरस्व' (विहार/घूमना) करें। वह उसे सुख और आनंद की दुनिया दिखाना चाहता है। वह सीता के मुख की प्रशंसा करता है, उसे 'पद्म संकाशम्' (कमल जैसा) और 'चारु दर्शनम्' (देखने में सुंदर) कहता है। लेकिन यहाँ एक विरोधाभास है—सीता का मुख अभी शोक और आंसुओं से भरा है, फिर भी रावण उसे 'विमलम्' (निर्मल) कह रहा है। यह शायद रावण की कामुक दृष्टि है जो सीता के दुख को अनदेखा कर केवल उसके शारीरिक सौंदर्य को देख रही है। या फिर वह कह रहा है कि एक बार जब तुम मुझे स्वीकार कर लोगी, तब तुम्हारा चेहरा फिर से कमल की तरह खिल उठेगा। रावण सीता को एक वस्तु की तरह देख रहा है जिसे सजाकर विमान में घुमाया जाए।
