Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
उवाच वचनम् वीरो रावणो रजनी चरः ।
अलम् व्रीडेन वैदेहि धर्म लोप कृतेन ते ॥ ॥३-५५-३४॥
Uvāca vacanam vīro rāvaṇo rajanī caraḥ । Alam vrīḍena vaidehi dharma lopa kṛtena te ॥ ॥3-55-34॥
Translation
Seeing her thus, the warrior night-ranger Ravana spoke these words: "O Vaidehi, enough of this shame caused by the violation of dharma (traditional conduct)."

(सीता को रोते देख) वीर निशाचर रावण ने यह वचन कहा—"हे वैदेही! धर्म लोप (परम्परा के उल्लंघन) के कारण तुम लज्जा मत करो (लज्जित होना व्यर्थ है)।"
English Commentary
Ravana attempts to rationalize his actions and assuage Sita's distress using twisted logic. He addresses her as Vaidehi and tells her "alam vridena" (enough with the shame). He refers to the situation as "dharma lopa" (transgression of dharma/custom), likely alluding to the fact that she is being touched and wooed by another man while married. Ravana tries to convince her that this violation is not a cause for shame, perhaps implying that as a captive, normal social rules don't apply, or that being claimed by a mighty king like him supersedes ordinary marital dharma. It reveals Ravana's manipulative nature; he tries to strip away her moral defense (shame/modesty) to make her vulnerable to his advances. He wants her to accept the abduction as a fait accompli.
