रामो नाम स धर्मात्मा त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतः ।
दीर्घ बाहुः विशालाक्षो दैवतम् स पतिः मम ॥ ॥३-५६-३॥
Rāmo nāma sa dharmātmā triṣu lokeṣu viśrutaḥ । Dīrgha bāhuḥ viśālākṣo daivatam sa patiḥ mama ॥ ॥3-56-3॥
Translation
He is known by the name 'Rama'; he is righteous (Dharmatma) and famous in all three worlds. He is long-armed and large-eyed; he is my deity and my husband.

वह 'राम' नाम से प्रसिद्ध हैं, धर्मात्मा हैं और तीनों लोकों में विख्यात हैं। वह लंबी भुजाओं वाले (दीर्घ बाहु) और विशाल नेत्रों वाले हैं। वही मेरे देवता और पति हैं।
English Commentary
Sita directly contradicts Ravana's insults. Where Ravana called Rama weak, she calls him "Dharmatma" (the soul of righteousness). Where Ravana claimed Rama was a nobody, she asserts he is "trishu lokeshu vishrutah" (famous across the three worlds). She describes his physical perfection as "dirgha bahuh" (long-armed, a sign of a great warrior/protector) and "vishalaksho" (large-eyed, indicating beauty and perception). The climax of the verse is her statement "daivatam sa patih mama" (He is my deity and husband). This rejects Ravana's offer completely; she does not just love Rama, she worships him. By elevating Rama to the status of a god ("daivatam"), she makes it clear that replacing him is sacrilege, not just a change of partner.

इस श्लोक में सीता राम के गुणों का बखान करती हैं। रावण ने कहा था कि राम को कोई नहीं जानता, सीता कहती हैं कि वे 'त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतः' (तीनों लोकों में प्रसिद्ध) हैं। रावण ने राम को 'अल्प तेजसा' कहा था, सीता उन्हें 'धर्मात्मा' कहती हैं, क्योंकि असली तेज धर्म में है। 'दीर्घ बाहुः' (लंबी भुजाएं) शारीरिक शक्ति और पराक्रम का लक्षण है (सामुद्रिक शास्त्र के अनुसार, घुटनों तक लंबी भुजाएं महापुरुष का लक्षण हैं)। 'विशालाक्षो' (बड़ी आंखों वाले) उनकी सुंदरता और सौम्यता को दर्शाता है। अंत में, सीता स्पष्ट घोषणा करती हैं—'दैवतम् स पतिः मम' (वही मेरे भगवान और पति हैं)। इसका अर्थ है कि रावण चाहे देवता भी बन जाए, सीता के लिए राम ही एकमात्र पूज्य हैं। यह सीता की अनन्य भक्ति (Pativrata Dharma) की सर्वोच्च घोषणा है।
