इक्ष्वाकूणाम् कुले जातः सिंह स्कन्धो महाद्युतिः ।
लक्ष्मणेन सह भ्रात्रा यः ते प्राणान् हरिष्यति ॥ ॥३-५६-४॥
Ikṣvākūṇām kule jātaḥ siṃha skandho mahādyutiḥ । Lakṣmaṇena saha bhrātrā yaḥ te prāṇān hariṣyati ॥ ॥3-56-4॥
Translation
Born in the lineage of the Ikshvakus, he has shoulders like a lion and possesses great radiance. Together with his brother Lakshmana, he will take your life.

वह इक्ष्वाकु वंश में उत्पन्न हुए हैं, उनके कंधे सिंह के समान (मजबूत) हैं और वे महातेजस्वी हैं। वे अपने भाई लक्ष्मण के साथ मिलकर तुम्हारे प्राणों का हरण करेंगे।
English Commentary
Sita shifts from praise of Rama to a threat against Ravana. She reminds him of Rama's warrior lineage (Ikshvaku) and describes him as "simha skandhah" (lion-shouldered), evoking an image of raw power and regality. She directly refutes Ravana's claim of Rama having "little energy" by calling him "mahadyutih" (of great radiance/energy). Most importantly, she pronounces Ravana's death sentence: "te pranan harishyati" (he will take your life). By including "Lakshmanena saha" (along with Lakshmana), she emphasizes the united front of the brothers. This is not a plea for mercy; it is a promise of retribution. Sita stands as the voice of Nemesis here, assuring the villain that his actions have sealed his fate.
