सा तु शोक परीत अंगी मैथिली जनकात्मजा ।
राक्षसी वशम् आपन्ना व्याघ्रीणाम् हरिणी यथा ॥३-५६-३४॥
Sā tu śoka parīta angī maithilī janakātmajā । Rākṣasī vaśam āpannā vyāghrīṇām hariṇī yathā ॥ ॥3-56-34॥
Translation
Her limbs overwhelmed with grief, Maithili, the daughter of Janaka, had fallen under the control of the Rakshasis, just like a doe among tigresses.

शोक से व्याप्त अंगों वाली, जनकनंदिनी मैथिली, राक्षसियों के वश में उसी प्रकार पड़ी थीं, जैसे बाघिनों के बीच में हिरनी।
English Commentary
The imagery here is visceral. Sita is compared to a "harini" (doe) surrounded by "vyaghrinam" (tigresses). This highlights the predatory nature of her guards and her own defenselessness. The epithet "Janakatmaja" (daughter of Janaka) serves to remind us of her noble lineage and high upbringing, making her current degradation at the hands of monsters even more tragic. The grief is described as physical, permeating her very limbs.
