तस्य ज्या विप्रमुक्ताः ते शराः कांचन भूषणाः ।
शरीरम् विधमिष्यन्ति गंगा कूलम् इव ऊर्मयः ॥ ॥३-५६-७॥
Tasya jyā vipramuktāḥ te śarāḥ kāñcana bhūṣaṇāḥ । Śarīram vidhamiṣyanti gaṅgā kūlam iva ūrmayaḥ ॥ ॥3-56-7॥
Translation
The gold-adorned arrows released from his bowstring will shatter your body, just as the waves destroy the bank of the Ganga.

उनकी (धनुष की) प्रत्यंचा से छूटने वाले, सोने से विभूषित वे बाण तुम्हारे शरीर को वैसे ही नष्ट (ध्वस्त) कर देंगे, जैसे (गंगा की) लहरें गंगा के किनारे को ढहा देती हैं।
English Commentary
Sita concludes this segment with a visceral description of Ravana's physical destruction. She focuses on Rama's weaponry: "kanchana bhushanah" (gold-decorated arrows), emphasizing that these are royal, divine weapons, not mere sticks. She visualizes these arrows being released from the bowstring ("jya vipramuktah") and tearing into Ravana. The simile used is "Ganga kulam iva urmayah"—just as the relentless waves erode and collapse the muddy banks of the Ganges, Rama's arrows will dismantle Ravana's body ("shariram vidhamishyanti"). This imagery conveys the idea of an unstoppable natural force. Ravana is the static, eroding bank, and Rama is the dynamic, powerful river. Sita's words are meant to strike terror into Ravana's heart by vividly describing his inevitable physical annihilation.

सीता रावण की मृत्यु का सजीव चित्रण करती हैं। वह कहती हैं कि राम के बाण 'कांचन भूषणाः' (सोने से जड़े हुए) हैं, जो उनकी राजसी शक्ति का प्रतीक है। जब वे बाण 'ज्या विप्रमुक्ताः' (धनुष की डोरी से मुक्त) होंगे, तो वे रावण के शरीर को 'विधमिष्यन्ति' (छिन्न-भिन्न कर देंगे/उड़ा देंगे)। सीता यहाँ एक प्राकृतिक उपमा देती हैं—'गंगा कूलम् इव ऊर्मयः' (जैसे लहरें गंगा के किनारे को काट देती हैं)। मिट्टी का किनारा पानी की निरंतर चोट के सामने टिक नहीं पाता; उसी तरह रावण का शरीर राम के बाणों के प्रवाह के सामने टिक नहीं पाएगा। यह सीता का दृढ़ विश्वास है। वह रावण को बता रही हैं कि उसका शरीर, जिस पर उसे इतना घमंड है, जल्द ही मिट्टी में मिल जाएगा।
