Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
परा त्वत्तः गतिः वीर पृधिव्यम् न उपपद्यते ।
परिपालय नः सर्वान् राक्षसेभ्यो नृपात्मजः ॥ ॥३-६-२०॥
Parā tvattaḥ gatiḥ vīra pṛthivyām na upapadyate |
Paripālaya naḥ sarvān rākṣasebhyo nṛpātmajaḥ ॥3-6-20॥
Translation
O Hero, there is no other refuge superior to you found on this earth. O Son of the King, please protect all of us from the Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे वीर! इस पृथ्वी पर आपके अतिरिक्त हमारी अन्य कोई गति (आश्रय) नहीं है। हे राजकुमार! आप हम सबकी राक्षसों से रक्षा करें।
English Commentary
The sages assert that Rama is their Para Gati—the ultimate resort. By addressing him as Nripatmaja (Son of a King), they appeal to his lineage and inherent duty as a ruler to enforce justice, even while in exile. This verse eliminates any alternative options for the sages; they declare that looking beyond Rama for help is futile. Philosophically, this reinforces the idea that the Supreme Personality is the only true shelter against the evils of material existence (symbolized here by the Rakshasas).

यहाँ ऋषियों ने श्रीराम को 'वीर' और 'नृपात्मज' (राजा के पुत्र) कहकर संबोधित किया है। यह संबोधन इसलिए महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि वे श्रीराम को उनके क्षत्रिय धर्म और राजसी दायित्व का स्मरण करा रहे हैं। 'परा त्वत्तः गतिः न' का अर्थ है कि श्रीराम ही एकमात्र और सर्वोच्च आश्रय हैं। यह वाक्य ऋषियों के अटूट विश्वास को दर्शाता है। वनवासी होते हुए भी, ऋषियों की दृष्टि में श्रीराम ही पृथ्वी के वास्तविक रक्षक हैं। वे यह स्पष्ट करते हैं कि दैवीय शक्ति और पौरुष दोनों में श्रीराम अद्वितीय हैं।
