एतत् श्रुत्वा तु काकुत्स्थः तापसानाम् तपस्विनाम् ।
इदम् प्रोवाच धर्मात्मा सर्वान् एव तपस्विनः ॥ ॥३-६-२१॥
Etat śrutvā tu kākutsthaḥ tāpasānām tapasvinām |
Idam provāca dharmātmā sarvān eva tapasvinaḥ ॥3-6-21॥
Translation
Hearing these words of the ascetics, Rama (scion of Kakutstha), the righteous soul, spoke thus to all the ascetics.

तपस्वियों के उन वचनों को सुनकर, धर्मात्मा काकुत्स्थ (श्रीराम) ने उन सभी तपस्वियों से यह बात कही।
English Commentary
The epithet Dharmatma (the righteous soul) is deliberately placed here to characterize Rama's impending response. He listens patiently to the sages' plea, embodying the virtue of a perfect listener and leader. The reference to him as Kakutstha reminds the reader of his glorious ancestors who were known for aiding the gods and sages.
