भवताम् अर्थ सिद्ध्यर्थम् आगतोऽहम् यदृच्छया ।
तस्य मे अयम् वने वासो भविष्यति महाफलः ॥ ॥३-६-२४॥
Bhavatām artha siddhyartham āgato'ham yadṛcchayā |
Tasya me ayam vane vāso bhaviṣyati mahāphalaḥ ॥3-6-24॥
Translation
I have come here by providence for the fulfillment of your purpose. Therefore, this stay of mine in the forest will be of great fruit.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं स्वेच्छा से (या ईश्वरीय योग से) आप लोगों के कार्य को सिद्ध करने के लिए ही यहाँ आया हूँ। (अतः) मेरा यह वनवास महान फल देने वाला सिद्ध होगा।
English Commentary
Rama interprets his exile as Mahaphala (yielding great results). He asserts that his arrival is for Artha Siddhyartham—the success of the sages' spiritual endeavors. By using the word Yadrichhaya (by providence/chance), he humbly downplays his own planning, attributing the timing to destiny. However, the core message is that his suffering in the forest is justified and validated because it serves the greater good of protecting the holy sages.

'यदृच्छया' शब्द का अर्थ है 'अचानक' या 'दैवीय संयोग से'। श्रीराम मानते हैं कि उनका यहाँ आना संयोग नहीं, अपितु ऋषियों के कार्य (अर्थ सिद्ध्यर्थम्) के लिए एक सुनियोजित घटना है। वे अपने वनवास के कष्टों को नहीं देखते, बल्कि इसे 'महाफलः' (महान फलदायी) कहते हैं क्योंकि इससे उन्हें संतों की सेवा और धर्म रक्षा का पुण्य प्राप्त होगा। यह सकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण (positive outlook) का चरम है, जहाँ विपत्ति को भी सेवा के अवसर में बदल दिया गया है।
