Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
दत्त्वा अभयम् च अपि तपो धनानाम् धर्मे धृइत आत्मा सह लक्ष्मणेन ।
तपो धनैः च अपि सह आर्य दत्तः सुतीक्ष्णम् एव अभिजगाम वीरः ॥ ॥३-६-२६॥
Dattvā abhayam ca api tapo dhanānām Dharme dhṛita ātmā saha lakṣmaṇena |
Tapo dhanaiḥ ca api saha ārya dattaḥ Sutīkṣṇam eva abhijagāma vīraḥ ॥3-6-26॥
Translation
Having given assurance of safety to the ascetics rich in austerity, the Hero (Rama), whose soul is steadfast in Dharma, accompanied by Lakshmana and the ascetics, went towards (the hermitage of) Sutikshna.

तपस्वियों को अभयदान देकर, धर्म में स्थित मन वाले, श्रेष्ठ आचरण वाले वीर श्रीराम ने लक्ष्मण और उन तपस्वियों के साथ सुतीक्ष्ण मुनि के आश्रम की ओर प्रस्थान किया।
English Commentary
This concluding verse of the 6th Sarga summarizes Rama's interaction with the sages. The key act is Abhaya Daan—the gift of fearlessness. Rama is described as Dharme dhrita atma (one whose soul is upheld by Dharma), signifying that his promise to kill demons is a righteous act, not an act of violence. Leading the group with Lakshmana, he proceeds to Sutikshna's hermitage, marking the transition to the next phase of his forest journey.
