तथा ऊर्थ्व वासिनः दान्ताः तथा आर्द्र पट वाससः ।
स जपाः च तपो नित्याः तथा पंच तपोऽन्विताः ॥ ॥३-६-५॥
tathā ūrthva vāsinaḥ dāntāḥ tathā ārdra paṭa vāsasaḥ । sa japāḥ ca tapo nityāḥ tathā pañca tapo'nvitāḥ ॥ ॥3-6-5॥
Translation
Some lived on high elevations, were self-controlled, wore wet garments, were constantly chanting, dedicated to penance, and practiced the Penance of Five Fires (Panchatapas).
हिंदी अनुवाद
(कुछ) ऊँचे स्थानों पर रहने वाले, जितेन्द्रिय, भीगे वस्त्र पहनने वाले, निरंतर जप करने वाले, तप में लीन रहने वाले और पञ्चाग्नि तप करने वाले थे।
