नूनम् विक्षिप्यमाणौ तौ बाहू पल्लव कोमलौ ।
भक्षितौ वेपमान अग्रौ स हस्त आभरण अंगदौ ॥ ॥३-६०-३३॥
Nūnam vikṣipyamāṇau tau bāhū pallava komalau |
Bhakṣitau veپmāna agrau sa hasta ābharaṇa aṅgadau ॥3-60-33॥
Translation
Surely those two arms, soft as young leaves, tossing about [in struggle], shaking at the tips, and adorned with hand-ornaments and armlets, have been devoured.
हिंदी अनुवाद
निश्चय ही, पल्लव (कोमल पत्तों) के समान कोमल वे दोनों भुजाएं, जो (बचने के लिए) इधर-उधर पटकी जा रही होंगी, जिनके अग्रभाग कांप रहे होंगे, और जो बाजूबंद व कंगन से युक्त थीं, खा ली गई होंगी।
English Commentary
Rama visualizes Sita's last moments of resistance. He sees her arms, soft as sprouts (pallava komalau), flailing wildly (vikshipyamanau) in self-defense. The detail vepamana agrau (shaking at the tips/fingers) captures her sheer terror. He imagines these adorned arms being consumed, ornaments and all. It is a poignant depiction of helplessness, visualizing the destruction of beauty he was sworn to protect.

इस श्लोक में सीता के संघर्ष का चित्र है। 'विक्षिप्यमाणौ' (फड़फड़ाती हुई या पटकी जाती हुई) भुजाएं यह बताती हैं कि सीता ने बचने का प्रयास किया होगा। 'पल्लव कोमलौ' (किसलय/कोमल पत्तों जैसी) भुजाओं का कांपना ('वेपमान') उनके भय को दर्शाता है। राम कल्पना करते हैं कि आभूषणों सहित उन हाथों को राक्षसों ने खा लिया है। सौंदर्य और वीभत्स रस का यह मिश्रण राम की मानसिक यंत्रणा को प्रकट करता है।
