कामम् तु इदम् पुष्पित वृक्ष सण्डम् नाना विधैः पक्षि गणैः उपेतम् ।
वनम् प्रयाता नु तत् अपि अयुक्तम् एकाकिनी सा अति बिभेति भीरुः ॥ ॥३-६३-१५॥
Kāmam tu idam puṣpita vṛkṣa saṇḍam nānā vidhaiḥ pakṣi gaṇaiḥ upētam । vanam prayātā nu tat api ayuktam ēkākinī sā ati bibhēti bhīruḥ ॥ ॥3-63-15॥
Translation
Or, indeed, has she gone into this forest filled with flowering trees and inhabited by flocks of various birds? That too is unlikely, for she is very timid and is extremely afraid to go alone.

क्या वह इस पुष्पित वृक्षों के समूह (वन) में, जहाँ नाना प्रकार के पक्षियों के झुंड हैं, अपनी इच्छा से गयी है? यह भी ठीक नहीं लगता, क्योंकि वह बहुत डरपोक (भीरु) है और अकेली जाने में बहुत डरती है।
English Commentary
Rama tests one last hypothesis: perhaps the sheer beauty of the forest, with its blossoming trees (pushpita vriksha) and singing birds, lured her away. It is a natural assumption given her love for nature. However, he immediately contradicts this possibility by reaffirming her nature as Bhiru (timid). He emphasizes that she is ati bibheti (extremely afraid) of being alone in the wild. This repetition of her timid nature serves a narrative purpose: it systematically eliminates the possibility of her wandering off or hiding playfully. By deducing that she would never voluntarily leave the safety of the hermitage alone, Rama arrives at the inescapable conclusion of foul play.
