ततो दाशरथी राम उवाच शिलोच्चयम् ।
मम बाण अग्नि निर्दग्धो भस्मी भूतो भविष्यसि ॥ ॥३-६४-३३॥
tato dāśarathī rāma uvāca śiloccayam । mama bāṇa agni nirdagdho bhasmī bhūto bhaviṣyasi ॥ ॥3-64-33॥
Translation
Then Rama, the son of Dasharatha, spoke to the mountain: "Burnt by the fire of my arrows, you shall become ashes."

तब दशरथनंदन राम ने पर्वत से कहा— "मेरे बाणों की अग्नि से जलकर तुम अभी भस्म हो जाओगे।"
English Commentary
The patronymic 'Dasharathi' invokes Rama's warrior lineage. He is no longer just a grieving husband but a powerful prince issuing a decree. The imagery of 'bana agni' (fire of arrows) foreshadows the devastating celestial weapons (Astra) Rama possesses. Threatening a mountain with incineration illustrates the sheer scale of his rage. In the context of Rasa theory, the narrative shifts here from Karuna (pathos) to Raudra (fury), showing that Rama's patience has an absolute limit.
