त्रै लोक्यम् तु करिष्यामि संयुक्तम् काल कर्मणा ।
न ते कुशलिनीम् सीताम् प्रदास्यन्ति मम ईश्वराः ॥ ॥३-६४-६२॥
trai lokyam tu kariṣyāmi saṃyuktam kāla karmaṇā । na te kuśalinīm sītām pradāsyanti mama īśvarāḥ ॥ ॥3-64-62॥
Translation
If the Lords do not restore Sita to me safe and sound, I shall indeed subject the three worlds to the operation of Time (Death/Destruction).

यदि लोकपाल (ईश्वरगण) मुझे मेरी सीता को सकुशल नहीं लौटाएंगे, तो मैं तीनों लोकों को काल के कर्म (मृत्यु) से संयुक्त कर दूंगा (नष्ट कर दूंगा)।
English Commentary
This is the definitive verse of this sequence. Shri Rama lays down a clear condition: 'The return of Sita or the destruction of the world.' The phrase 'Kala karmana' refers to the process of death or dissolution executed by Time. The term 'Ishvarah' here refers to the guardians of the worlds or the gods. Rama believes that the abduction occurred due to the negligence of the divine forces. Therefore, he holds them accountable, issuing not a prayer as a devotee, but a command as a supreme power demanding restitution.

यह इस सर्ग का सबसे निर्णायक श्लोक है। श्रीराम स्पष्ट शर्त रख रहे हैं—'सीता की वापसी या जगत का विनाश'। 'काल कर्मणा' का अर्थ है मृत्यु या प्रलय की प्रक्रिया। यहाँ 'ईश्वराः' शब्द लोकपालों या देवताओं के लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ है। श्रीराम यह मानते हैं कि देवताओं की अनदेखी के कारण ही रावण ऐसा दुस्साहस कर पाया। अतः वे देवताओं को ही उत्तरदायी ठहराते हुए उन्हें चेतावनी दे रहे हैं। यह एक भक्त या सेवक की प्रार्थना नहीं, बल्कि एक परम शक्तिशाली स्वामी का आदेश है।
