Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
नाशयामि जगत् सर्वम् त्रैलोक्यम् स चर अचरम् ।
यावत् दर्शनम् अस्या वै तापयामि च सायकैः ॥ ॥३-६४-७१॥
nāśayāmi jagat sarvam trailokyam sa cara acaram । yāvat darśanam asyā vai tāpayāmi ca sāyakaiḥ ॥ ॥3-64-71॥
Translation
...I shall destroy the entire universe including the three worlds with all moving and unmoving beings. Until I see her, I shall scorch everything with my arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...तो मैं इस चराचर (जड़-चेतन) सहित सम्पूर्ण त्रैलोक्य का नाश कर दूंगा। जब तक सीता का दर्शन नहीं होता, तब तक मैं अपने बाणों से सबको संताप देता रहूंगा।
English Commentary
This verse continues the thought of the previous one. The condition 'Yavat darshanam asya' (until she is seen) defines the duration and objective of his rage. Destruction is the lever to force a revelation. The use of 'Tapayami' (I will scorch/torment) suggests an intense, sustaining heat rather than instant vaporization. Just as the sun can scorch the earth, Rama intends to subject the universe to unbearable heat and suffering until the cosmic forces yield and reveal Sita's location.

यह श्लोक पिछले श्लोक का निरंतरता में है। 'यावत् दर्शनम् अस्या' (जब तक उसका दर्शन नहीं होता) - यह श्रीराम के क्रोध की अवधि और सीमा तय करता है। उनका उद्देश्य केवल विनाश नहीं, बल्कि सीता की प्राप्ति है। 'तापयामि' (तपाऊंगा/जलाऊंगा) शब्द दर्शाता है कि यह प्रक्रिया धीरे-धीरे और कष्टदायक होगी। जैसे सूर्य की गर्मी असहनीय हो जाती है, वैसे ही राम का तेज लोकों को तब तक जलाता रहेगा जब तक सत्य (सीता) सामने नहीं आता।
