मद् द्वितीयो धनुष् पाणिः सहायैः परम ऋषिभिः ।
समुद्रम् च विचेष्यामः पर्वतान् च वनानि च ॥ ॥३-६५-१३॥
mad dvitīyo dhanuṣ pāṇiḥ sahāyaiḥ parama ṛṣibhiḥ । samudram ca viceṣyāmaḥ parvatān ca vanāni ca ॥ ॥3-65-13॥
Translation
With me as your companion, bow in hand, and with the help of great sages, we shall search the ocean, the mountains, and the forests.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मेरे साथ, हाथ में धनुष लेकर और परम ऋषियों की सहायता से, हम समुद्रों, पर्वतों और वनों में (सीता की) खोज करेंगे।
English Commentary
Lakshmana now pledges his active participation. By saying 'Mad dvitiyo' (with me as your second), he reinforces his unwavering support. He suggests enlisting the help of sages, acknowledging that their divine sight and wisdom are crucial assets for intelligence gathering. This is a pragmatic roadmap: success will come not through grief or blind rage, but through a systematic search operation, armed for protection and guided by wisdom.

लक्ष्मण अब अपनी सक्रिय भागीदारी (Active Participation) का प्रस्ताव रखते हैं। "मद् द्वितीयो" (मैं आपका दूसरा/सहायक हूँ) कहकर वे राम को संबल देते हैं। वे ऋषियों की सहायता लेने की भी बात करते हैं क्योंकि ऋषियों के पास 'दिव्य दृष्टि' और 'ज्ञान' होता है। यह एक व्यावहारिक योजना है। केवल रोने या क्रोध करने से नहीं, बल्कि धनुष हाथ में लेकर (सुरक्षा के लिए) और ऋषियों के मार्गदर्शन में खोजने से ही सीता मिलेंगी।
