Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
नाथ पर्वत दुर्गेषु नदीनाम् पुलिनेषु च ।
आयुः चिरम् इदम् वीर त्वम् मया सह रंस्यसे ॥ ॥३-६९-१६॥
Nātha parvata durgeṣu nadīnām pulineṣu ca । Āyuḥ ciram idam vīra tvam mayā saha raṃsyase ॥ ॥3-69-16॥
Translation
"O Lord, O Hero! You shall sport with me for the duration of your long life in mountain fastnesses and on the river banks."

"हे नाथ! हे वीर! तुम दुर्गम पर्वतों में और नदियों के तटों (रेतीले किनारों) पर मेरे साथ अपनी पूरी (लम्बी) आयु तक रमण करोगे।"
English Commentary
She outlines her fantasy of domesticity in the wild. Addressing him as Nātha (protector/husband), she tries to woo him with scenic locations—mountain strongholds and river banks. She promises a life of hedonism lasting for a Ciram āyuḥ (long life span). This temptation represents a distraction from the hero's quest. She offers pleasure and longevity, but at the cost of Dharma and mission. For Lakshmana, this is not a promise of bliss, but a threat of imprisonment.

अयोमुखी लक्ष्मण को एक लंबा और सुखद जीवन का प्रलोभन दे रही है। वह उन्हें 'नाथ' (स्वामी) कहती है, जो विडंबना है क्योंकि उसने उन्हें बलपूर्वक पकड़ा हुआ है। वह 'पर्वत दुर्गेषु' (पहाड़ों के किले/गुफाओं) और 'नदीनाम् पुलिनेषु' (नदी तटों) पर विहार करने का सपना दिखा रही है। राक्षस दीर्घजीवी होते हैं, इसलिए वह 'आयुः चिरम्' (चिरकाल तक) साथ रहने की बात करती है। यह लक्ष्मण के ब्रह्मचर्य और सीता-राम की सेवा के व्रत पर सीधा प्रहार है।
