प्रविष्टः तु वनम् घोरम् बहु पुष्प फल द्रुमम् ।
ददर्श आश्रमम् एकान्ते चीर माला परिष्कृतम् ॥ ॥३-७-५॥
Praviṣṭaḥ tu vanam ghoram bahu puṣpa phala drumam । dadarśa āśramam ekānte cīra mālā pariṣkṛtam ॥ ॥3-7-5॥
Translation
Having entered that dense forest rich in trees bearing many flowers and fruits, he saw a hermitage in a solitary place, adorned with garlands of bark garments.

अनेक पुष्पों और फलों वाले वृक्षों से युक्त उस घोर वन में प्रवेश करके, श्रीराम ने एकान्त में एक आश्रम देखा, जो वल्कल वस्त्रों की मालाओं से सुसज्जित था।
English Commentary
The description of the forest uses contrasting adjectives: 'ghoram' (fearsome or dense) and yet rich in flowers and fruits. This suggests a wilderness that is formidable yet life-sustaining. The hermitage is identified by 'cira mala parishkritam'—adorned with rows of bark garments. These garments, likely hung out to dry, signify the presence of ascetics living a life of renunciation. It creates a striking visual of discipline amidst the wild, untamed nature. The hermitage standing in 'ekante' (solitude) represents peace and detachment from worldly noise.
