न हि तस्य अस्ति अविज्ञातम् त्रिषु लोकेषु राघव ।
सर्वान् परिवृतो लोकान् पुरा वै कारण अन्तरे ॥३-७१-३४॥
Na hi tasya asti avijñātam triṣu lokeṣu rāghava |
Sarvān parivṛto lokān purā vai kāraṇa antare ॥3-71-34॥
Translation
O Raghava! There is nothing in the three worlds that is unknown to him (that Vanara). Indeed, he has traveled through all the worlds in the past due to a specific reason.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राघव! तीनों लोकों में ऐसी कोई बात नहीं है जो उसे (उस वानर को) ज्ञात न हो। उसने पूर्व में किसी विशेष कारण से समस्त लोकों का भ्रमण किया है।
English Commentary
Kabandha sets the stage for Sugriva’s competency. He asserts that the potential ally is not an ordinary forest dweller but someone who knows the geography of the three worlds. The phrase 'karana antare' (due to a specific reason) alludes to Sugriva's flight from his brother Vali's wrath. In his attempt to hide, Sugriva traversed the entire globe, inadvertently gaining unparalleled knowledge of geography and hiding spots. Kabandha assures Rama that Sugriva possesses the specific 'domain knowledge' required to locate Sita.

कबंध यहाँ सुग्रीव की भौगोलिक और गुप्तचर क्षमता (intelligence capability) की भूमिका बाँध रहा है। वह बताता है कि जिस व्यक्ति (सुग्रीव) से मिलने का वह सुझाव देगा, वह कोई साधारण वनवासी नहीं है। 'कारण अन्तरे' (किसी कारण विशेष से) का संकेत सुग्रीव के भाई वालि के भय से भागने की ओर है। प्राण रक्षा के लिए सुग्रीव ने पूरी पृथ्वी और लोकों का चक्कर लगाया था, जिससे उसे हर स्थान का ज्ञान हो गया। यह श्लोक राम को आश्वस्त करता है कि सीता को ढूँढने के लिए सुग्रीव ही सबसे योग्य पात्र है क्योंकि उसके पास 'मैपिंग' का प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव है।
