Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
विमाने भास्वरे तिष्ठन् हंस युक्ते यशस् करे ।
प्रभया च महातेजा दिशो दश विराजयन् ॥३-७२-६॥
Vimāne bhāsvare tiṣṭhan haṃsa yukte yaśas kare |
Prabhayā ca mahātejā diśo daśa virājayan ॥3-72-6॥
Translation
Standing in a shining, glorious aerial chariot (Vimana) yoked with swans, that highly resplendent one illuminated the ten directions with his radiance.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह हंसों से जुते हुए, यशस्वी और प्रकाशमान विमान में स्थित हो गया और अपनी प्रभा (तेज) से दसों दिशाओं को प्रकाशित करने लगा।
English Commentary
Immediately upon liberation, a 'Vimana' (celestial vehicle) appears to transport him. The swan-yoked chariot symbolizes purity and discernment (swans represent the ability to separate milk from water). Kabandha, who was just a lump of flesh in a dark forest, is now illuminating the ten directions. This drastic change is a testament to Rama's grace. Valmiki conveys that contact with the Divine can elevate even the most fallen being to the highest state.

मोक्ष के तत्काल बाद उसे ले जाने के लिए एक 'विमान' (दिव्य वाहन) उपस्थित हो गया। 'हंस युक्त' विमान सात्विकता और विवेक का प्रतीक है (हंस नीर-क्षीर विवेक के लिए जाना जाता है)। कबंध, जो अभी तक एक अंधेरे वन में पड़ा हुआ मांस का लोथड़ा था, अब दसों दिशाओं को प्रकाशित कर रहा है। यह परिवर्तन राम की कृपा (Grace) का प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण है। वाल्मीकि जी यहाँ यह संदेश देते हैं कि ईश्वर के संपर्क में आने पर पतित से पतित जीव भी परम गति को प्राप्त कर सकता है।
