रुरूल् अपेता अपजयान् दृष्ट्वा शोकम् प्रहास्यसि ।
राम तस्य तु शैलस्य महती शोभते गुहा ॥३-७३-३९॥
rurūn apetā apajayān dṛṣṭvā śokam prahāsyasi |
rāma tasya tu śailasya mahatī śobhate guhā ॥3-73-39॥
Translation
O Rama, seeing the Ruru deer wandering there free from fear, you will cast aside your grief. In that mountain, there is a huge and splendid cave.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राम! वहां निडर होकर विचरने वाले रुरु मृगों को देखकर तुम अपना शोक त्याग दोगे। उस पर्वत की एक विशाल और शोभायमान गुफा है।
English Commentary
Kabandha directly addresses Rama's emotional state here. He predicts that the sight of the "fearless Ruru deer" will help Rama shed his grief. The lack of fear in prey animals like deer signifies absolute safety and non-violence (ahimsa) in the region, which has a healing effect on a troubled mind. Structurally, this verse pivots from scenic description to strategic information. After promising emotional relief, Kabandha immediately introduces the "huge cave," narrowing the focus to the specific location where the key to Rama's mission—Sugriva—resides.

इस श्लोक में कबन्ध स्पष्ट रूप से मनोवैज्ञानिक सांत्वना दे रहा है। वह कहता है कि 'रुरु' मृगों को निर्भय होकर विचरते देख राम का 'शोक' दूर हो जाएगा। प्रकृति का सौंदर्य और जीवों की निर्भयता मनुष्य के मन को शांति देती है—यह एक मनोवैज्ञानिक सत्य है। साथ ही, कबन्ध अब मुख्य उद्देश्य पर आता है—'गुहा' (गुफा)। यह वही गुफा है जहाँ सुग्रीव निवास करते हैं। शोक निवृत्ति की बात कहकर कबन्ध राम को सुग्रीव से मिलने के लिए मानसिक रूप से तैयार कर रहा है, क्योंकि एक दुखी मन गठबंधन और मैत्री के लिए तत्पर नहीं हो सकता।
