प्रस्थितौ त्वम् व्रजस्व इति वाक्यम् ऊचतुः अन्तिके ।
गम्यताम् कार्य सिद्धि अर्थम् इति तौ अब्रवीत् च सः ॥३-७३-४४॥
prasthitau tvam vrajasva iti vākyam ūcatuḥ antike |
gamyatām kārya siddhi artham iti tau abravīt ca saḥ ॥3-73-44॥
Translation
...prepared to depart, spoke these words near him: "You may go now." And he too replied to them, "May you both proceed for the accomplishment of your mission."
हिंदी अनुवाद
...(प्रस्थान के लिए उद्यत) राम और लक्ष्मण ने पास जाकर कहा—"अब आप जाइये (अपने लोक को)।" और उसने (कबन्ध ने) भी उन दोनों से कहा—"अपने कार्य की सिद्धि के लिए आप दोनों भी प्रस्थान करें।"
English Commentary
The interaction concludes with a formal exchange of farewells and blessings. Rama and Lakshmana, respectful of the celestial being, grant him permission to return to his abode. In return, Kabandha does not just say "goodbye," but explicitly blesses their mission: karya siddhi artham (for the sake of success in your task). This is a potent benediction. It serves as a narrative pivot, closing the chapter on the Kabandha episode and propelling the heroes forward with divine endorsement toward Sugriva and the eventual recovery of Sita.

यह विदाई का श्लोक है। राम और लक्ष्मण कबन्ध को सम्मानपूर्वक जाने की अनुमति देते हैं ('त्वम् व्रजस्व'), और बदले में कबन्ध उन्हें 'कार्य सिद्धि अर्थम्' (कार्य की सफलता के लिए) जाने का आशीर्वाद देता है। यह संवाद अत्यंत औपचारिक और गरिमापूर्ण है। कबन्ध का आशीर्वाद महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि सीता की खोज का कार्य अभी आरंभ होना है। एक सिद्ध गन्धर्व का यह कथन कि "कार्य सिद्धि के लिए जाओ" एक प्रकार की भविष्यवाणी और मंगलकामना है कि राम का उद्देश्य सफल होगा। यहाँ अरण्यकाण्ड का यह प्रसंग समाप्त होता है और कहानी किष्किन्धा की ओर मुड़ती है।
