Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अशक्नुवद्भिः तैः गन्तुम् उपवास श्रम आलसैः ।
चिन्तिते अभ्यागतान् पश्य समेतान् सप्त सागरान् ॥ ॥३-७४-२५॥
Aśaknuvadbhiḥ taiḥ gantum upavāsa śrama ālasaiḥ |
Cintite abhyāgatān paśya sametān sapta sāgarān ॥3-74-25॥
Translation
Unable to travel due to the lethargy caused by fasting and fatigue, when they merely thought of them, the Seven Oceans arrived here together. Behold them here.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उपवास और परिश्रम की थकान के कारण जब वे (सागर तक) जाने में असमर्थ हो गए थे, तब केवल उनके चिंतन करने मात्र से सातों सागर यहाँ स्वयं उपस्थित हो गए थे। उन्हें देखिए।
English Commentary
This verse illustrates the profound concept of Satya Sankalpa (truthful resolve). The sages, weakened by fasting (Upavasa), could not physically trek to the ocean for their ritual ablutions. However, their spiritual stature was such that nature obeyed their mental command. The "Seven Oceans" manifested at the ashram merely upon being thought of. Shabari presents this as visual proof to Shri Ram of her gurus' prowess. It conveys a deep spiritual truth: for the perfected being (Siddha), the limitations of space and physical capacity are nullified. The environment bends to serve the will of the righteous ascetic.

यह श्लोक 'संकल्प शक्ति' और 'ऋद्धि-सिद्धि' का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है। ऋषि मतंग के शिष्य उपवास और तप के कारण इतने क्षीण हो गए थे कि वे स्नान हेतु समुद्र तक नहीं जा सकते थे। किन्तु प्रकृति और तत्व ऋषियों के अधीन होते हैं। उनके मात्र विचार करने (चिंतन) से ही सातों समुद्रों का जल आश्रम में प्रकट हो गया। शबरी श्री राम को वह दिव्य जल-स्रोत दिखा रही हैं। यह प्रसंग बताता है कि जब भक्त ईश्वर या धर्म के मार्ग पर चलता है और शारीरिक रूप से अक्षम हो जाता है, तो दैवीय शक्तियाँ स्वयं उसकी सहायता के लिए उपस्थित हो जाती हैं। योग बल के आगे दूरी और भौतिक बाधाएं मायने नहीं रखतीं।
