Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
देव कार्याणि कुर्वद्भिः यानि इमानि कृतानि वै ।
पुष्पैः कुवलयैः सार्थम् म्लानत्वम् न तु यान्ति वै ॥ ॥३-७४-२७॥
Deva kāryāṇi kurvadbhiḥ yāni imāni kṛtāni vai |
Puṣpaiḥ kuvalayaiḥ sārtham mlānatvam na tu yānti vai ॥3-74-27॥
Translation
The flowers and blue lotuses offered by them while performing divine rites have indeed not withered even now.
हिंदी अनुवाद
देव-कार्य (पूजा) करते समय उन्होंने जो ये पुष्प और नीलकमल चढ़ाये थे, वे आज भी कुम्हलाते नहीं हैं (ताजे बने हुए हैं)।
English Commentary
Similar to the wet garments, the flowers offered in worship have retained their freshness and fragrance, defying biological decay. In the context of Indian philosophy, an offering made with absolute purity becomes eternal. The "non-withering" (Mlanatvam na yanti) suggests that the worship performed by the sages was accepted by the Divine so completely that the offerings transcended mortality. Shabari highlights these miracles to prepare for her own departure; she has maintained the ashram as a living museum of her gurus' glory, waiting only to hand over this spiritual legacy to the fitting heir, Shri Ram.
हिंदी टीका
जिस प्रकार वल्कल वस्त्र नहीं सूखे, उसी प्रकार अर्पण किए गए पुष्प भी मुरझाए नहीं हैं। साधारणतः तोड़े गए फूल कुछ घंटों में मुरझा जाते हैं, परन्तु यहाँ भक्ति के प्रभाव से वे 'अजर' हो गए हैं। यह श्लोक संकेत करता है कि सच्ची श्रद्धा से अर्पित की गई वस्तु कभी नष्ट नहीं होती। शबरी का यह कथन यह भी स्पष्ट करता है कि उसने उन वस्तुओं को स्पर्श करके अपवित्र नहीं किया, बल्कि एक रक्षक की भांति उन्हें सहेज कर रखा ताकि रघुकुल नन्दन राम स्वयं आकर इस चमत्कार को देख सकें। यह स्थान की 'सिद्धता' और वातावरण की 'सात्विकता' का प्रमाण है।
