Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
हृदये हि नर व्याघ्र शुभम् आविर्भविष्यति ।
तत् आगच्छ गमिष्यावः पंपाम् ताम् प्रिय दर्शनाम् ॥ ॥३-७५-६॥
Hṛdaye hi nara vyāghra śubham āvirbhaviṣyati |
Tat āgaccha gamiṣyāvaḥ pampām tām priya darśanām ॥3-75-6॥
Translation
O tiger among men (best of men)! Auspicious signs are manifesting in my heart. Therefore, come, let us proceed to that beautiful Pampa Sarovar.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे नरश्रेष्ठ (नरव्याघ्र)! मेरे हृदय में शुभ शकुन प्रकट हो रहे हैं। अतः आओ, अब हम उस प्रिय-दर्शना 'पंपा' सरोवर की ओर चलें।
English Commentary
Addressing Lakshmana as 'Nara vyaghra' (Tiger among men), Rama acknowledges his brother's valor. Rama trusts the auspicious signs manifesting within his heart and decides to move toward Pampa Sarovar immediately. The description of Pampa as 'Priya darshanam' (pleasant to look at) highlights its beauty. This verse illustrates the balance between intuition and action. Rama does not passively wait for good fortune; upon feeling the positive omen, he initiates the next phase of their journey, demonstrating that grace must be met with effort.

श्री राम लक्ष्मण को 'नरव्याघ्र' कहकर संबोधित करते हैं, जो उनके पराक्रम को दर्शाता है। राम अपने अंतःकरण की आवाज सुन रहे हैं जो उन्हें बता रही है कि शुभ होने वाला है। वे तुरंत निर्णय लेते हैं कि अब पंपा सरोवर की ओर जाना चाहिए। 'प्रिय दर्शनाम्' विशेषण पंपा की सुंदरता को इंगित करता है। यह श्लोक कर्म और अंतर्ज्ञान के संतुलन को दिखाता है—राम केवल भाग्य के भरोसे नहीं बैठे हैं, बल्कि शुभ संकेतों को कार्य में बदलने के लिए यात्रा (पुरुषार्थ) आरंभ कर रहे हैं।
